Sculptural Series On View At LOS/NR Gallery 03/13–04/23/2026
! Extended until 05/23/26 !

Stemming from thoughts on the mimetisms and counter-mimetisms of bodies, systems, and their inter/intra-relations, the series of sculptural works entitled Bodies without Organs draws primarily from written works by Bataille, Deleuze & Guattari, and Artaud. The displacement of organs from their functions and positions of operativity aims to dislodge a symbolic hierarchy. As our depth of Self is rendered shallow by structures of economy and society, we experience a violence through being reduced to an object. The sculptural organisms and organs bind themselves to objects that become supports, that become part of the body.
